a aggument of "China rise" with a Nankai professor
-
Sorry to unable to read your email due to "luan ma". But to answer your question of "what is long-term analysis", my argument is that China must be able to rise to a wealthy nation in terms of its economic figures such as trade volume, cars, TV and other materials. If Japan, South Korea and other Asian countries can be wealthy nations, why not China?
But, in view of its traditional culture and current education system, in particular the qualities of universities and the teachers, it is very difficult for China to produce great statesmen like historical figures such as Bismarck, Churchill, Deng, Zhou and Mao. Without thses kinds of leaders, how long can China maintain its great power status or China is only content to being a wealthy nation like South Korea or Denmark or Australia?

In brief, can China become a second US or the former Soviet Union? I have a big question mark whenever I think of the teaching qualities in the Chinese schools, especially those teachers who are teaching in the schools.
Hope it is helpful,

I 'm sorry my english isn't so good as you.Especially in writing, may be it is the comon fault of Chinese
students. The most important issue that CCP face is the reward of reform and economic growth is
assembled in few interest group such as upper-level offails, the corruption is permerated in every field
of society .Many people are in hopeless situtuation because of lack education and work skill.Second
china is short of cohesive force in social elements contrast with Japan and south Korea.we only have
family identity ,but not nation. The ideology of CCP has completely bankrupt ,they only unite by
interest, the government and people don't trust each other. The eye of whole society is focus on
money,interest,GUANXI.We need a blief,but not communism.
