<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;通常所说的物价其实就是生产价格，而生产价格是由部门平均生产成本加上社会平均利润构成的价格。生产价格就是价值的转化形态。价格是商品交换的产物。价格是一个历史范畴，是随着商品交换的产生而产生、发展而发展的。价格是交换双方利益的集中体现。价格变动能够引起交换双方经济利益的此消彼长，即价格具有利益的消长性。</P>
<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<FONT color=#000080><STRONG>物价指数</STRONG></font></P>
<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;是反映计算期销售或购进的全部商品价格总水平比基期水平升降变动程度的相对数，通常以计算期（年度、季度或月度）与基期（某年度、季度或月度）相对比，以百分数表示。

<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;物价指数是经济指数中比较复杂的一种相对数。按包括商品种类不同，分为单项商品价格指数、商品类别指数和总指数。按采用基期的不同，分为环比物价指数（以上一期为基期）、年距环比物价指数（以上年同期为基期）、定基物价指数（和固定时期比较）。按商品的种类和流通环节区分，有工业品出厂价格指数，农副产品收购价格指数、批发物价指数、零售物价指数、服务项目价格指数、职工生活费用价格指数、工农业商品的综合比价指数。按商品流通渠道区分，又可分为国营、集市贸易等物价指数。

<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;计算物价指数除了要选择好基期和计算期外，还要选择好提供价格资料的典型地区，因为无法编制所有商品、所有市县的物价指数；要注意商品的可比性；要注意商品的代表性；要注意商品规格、等级、质量的一致性；要注意计算方法的科学性。

<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;消费者物价指数，也称居民消费价格指数，英文为：Consumer Price Index, CPI
<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;以与居民生活有关的产品及劳务价格统计出来的物价变动指标.系衡量一般家庭(不含共同事业户)实际购买各项消费性商品及劳务价格变动情形.所得税,购置土地,住宅及人寿保险等支出不属查价范围。

<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;讨论通货膨胀时,最常提及的物价指数之一。 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</P>
<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;大多数国家都编制居民消费价格指数（CPI），反映城乡居民购买并用于消费的消费品及服务价格水平的变动情况，并用它来反映通货膨胀程度。

<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;从2001年起，我国采用国际通用做法，逐月编制并公布以2000年价格水平为基期的居民消费价格定基指数，作为反映我国通货膨胀（或紧缩）程度的主要指标。经国务院批准，国家统计局城调总队负责全国居民消费价格指数的编制及相关工作，并组织、指导和管理各省区市的消费价格调查统计工作。

<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;我国编制价格指数的商品和服务项目，根据全国城乡近11万户居民家庭消费支出构成资料和有关规定确定，目前共包括食品、烟酒及用品、衣着、家庭设备用品及服务、医疗保健及个人用品、交通和通讯、娱乐教育文化用品及服务、居住八大类，251个基本分类，约700个代表品种。居民消费价格指数就是在对全国550个样本市县近3万个采价点进行价格调查的基础上，根据国际规范的流程和公式算出来的。

<P>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;所谓核心CPI，是指将受气候和季节因素影响较大的产品价格剔除之后的居民消费物价指数。
<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;目前，我国对核心CPI尚未明确界定，美国是将燃料和仪器价格剔后的居民消费物价指数为乐为核心CPI。一般认为，核心CPI能更真实地反映宏观经济运行情况。
