<p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">在保留前作光辉耀眼的四个可爱角色基础上，同时又有几位新鲜动物加入到这个大家庭中，为续集带来更多的欢乐，几位大牌明星担任了这几位新角色的配音工作。在《冰河世纪》里，Manny一直以为自己是世界上最后一只猛犸象了，但在续集中，他将遇到一头十分可爱的雌性猛犸象，尽管Manny迸发出不可阻挡的爱情，但最严重的问题是对方却存在心理障碍，一直认为自己是只负鼠。<br /></p><p>　　雌象Ellie(配音明星：奎恩?拉蒂法)：雌性猛犸象Ellie一直只把自己当作一只小小的负鼠，她喜欢爬树也十分胆小，遇到危险就想把自己藏在石头下面。著名黑人喜剧女星奎恩?拉蒂法接受邀请，参加到本片英语配音阵容之中，用诙谐的声音演绎这只“超重量级”的负鼠。是最适合这一角色的配音演员，她幽默并且拥有出色的幽默感，此外她笑言自己同Ellie类似，同样是身材魁梧但温柔的女子。<br /></p><p>　　负鼠Crash和Eddie(配音明星：西恩?威廉?斯科特与乔什?派克)：Ellie之所以一直把自己当做负鼠，原因是因为她同这两只负鼠生活在一起太久了，这对胆小的小动物聪明可爱，对一切风吹草动反应过敏，热门电视明星乔什?派克配音的Eddie总是精力过剩，而斯科特独特的花花公子般的声音也正是Crash的性格。<br /></p>

<p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">当初《冰河世纪》由于制作成本限制，未能请到大牌明星为影片配音，但这部成本不到6千万美元的动画片，共获得全球近4亿的票房佳绩，在此基础上，霍士公司对续集的投入当然高出很多，因此在保持冰上F4配音阵容的同时，又邀请到众多喜剧明星加盟，也让这部影片的吸引力倍增。<br /></p><p>　　如果说《冰河世纪》发生在寒冷的冬天，那么在《冰河世纪2》里，春天已经到了，然而它带来的并非是盎然的生机，相反，对这些生活在冰河世纪的动物来说，这或许预示着一场可怕的灾难。作为影迷期待已久的续集，全片以3D电脑特效呈现史前冰河时期的壮丽奇景，为了制作最佳的特技效果，电影公司特别重金礼聘曾参与原作制作的卡洛斯?萨丹哈掌舵，让这部影片在科技及美术成就上相得益彰。</p>
