1 “生命共同体”观念的流行,当与李登辉总统在民国八十二年五月间的密集使用有关。关于其出现的背景,谈话的内容,以及报章杂志的一般反应,可参阅正中书局(1993)及新闻局(1994)。
2 譬如沈清松就指出:亚里斯多德与黑格尔所提出的“伦理-政治”理论是哲学上较适当的“生命共同体”概念之内涵(沈清松,1993:50)。不过,就“生命”一词的强调而言,黑格尔显然又不如亚里斯多德突出。已故的哈佛大学政治哲学教授 Carl J. Friedrich 更是直接推崇亚里斯多德为“所有思想家中,对政治社群理解最深、贡献最卓著者”(Friedrich, 1967:105)。
