萧凤霞
     
萧凤霞（Helen Siu），美国斯坦福大学博士，耶鲁大学人类学系教授，耶鲁大学东亚研究委员会前任主席。出生和生长于香港，其后负笈美国，先在明尼苏达州的卡尔顿学院(Carleton College)本科毕业，后转至史丹福大学攻读研究院，获博士学位。萧凤霞主要研究关注于南中国的文化、历史和政治经济变迁。1974年开始，她便在珠江三角洲一带的村落和市镇进行广泛的田野考察。近年来，则集中研究香港迈向国际大都会过程中的文化跌宕。除研究外，萧凤霞亦积极参与美国及香港专上教育的规划，她在美国曾担任多个学术研究拨款委员会成员；在1992年至2001年间，她被香港政府委任为大学拨款委员会(University Grants Committee)的海外成员，在大学教育拨款和整体方向上向政府提出意见。此外，在1996年和2001年间，她亦兼任学术研究拨款委员会(Research Grants Council)成员，该委员会负责审定香港的学术研究质量并提供资助。萧凤霞主要著作有《毛氏的收成---中国新一代的声音》、《犁沟---农民、知识分子和国家》、《农村革命的同谋者》、《植根乡土---华南地缘关系》等。
