"As long as the council is unable to act on behalf of the entire international community in a transparent, just and democratic manner, it will neither be legitimate nor effective," the president said.
    2006年9月19日，伊朗总统内贾德在联大的发言指出，除非安理会能以一种透明的，正义以及民主的方式代表整个世界，不然其在伊朗的行动不但是违法的，而且是不会有效率的。这句话是对美国在安理会上独断独行的有力反击。


    而在反击美国职责伊朗把核技术用于武器研发的说法时，内贾德更是尖锐的讽刺到：
    "Some of them have abused nuclear technology for non-peaceful ends, including the production of nuclear bombs, and some even have a bleak record of using them against humanity"
    “某些核国家把原子能技术滥用于非和平用途，包括制造原*子DAN，有的甚至卑鄙地把原*子DAN用于****的行为。”
