谈谈考研英语长难句中的状语从句

　　在英语中，提到状语从句，我们就会想起许许多多的连词和好多种类的状语。确实，九大状语从句在英语这只队伍里算是比较庞大的分支了。但是知识点和考点设置相对而言并不难，考生只需要牢记九大状语从句的关系词和个别状语从句引导词的特殊性就可以应对长难句中的状语从句。以下就简单说说考研英语中各个状语从句中关系词使用时要注意的事项。
　　1.时间状语从句：通常由before，when，while，until这四个连词引导，难度为中等。
　　2.地点状语从句：通常由where引导，也可由wherever，anywhere，和everywhere引导，难度比较低，故不详细介绍。
　　3.原因状语从句：难度中，常用because，for，as， since，其中because考地最多，其次考研试题中经常出现in that复合连词表原因，尤其是在阅读理解的题干中，考查原因细节题一般都用in that。。
　　4.目的状语从句：难度中，常用连词有so that，in order that，和that，从句中常含有情态动词。其他引导词有lest， for fear that，in case，译为“以防，以免”从句谓语要用虚拟语气should+do，一般省略should。
　　5.结果状语从句：难度中，常用连词有so…that, such….that。so后接形容词或副词，分词，such后接名词。这里要注意so或者such至于句首要倒装。当然还有其他一些引导词to the extent that, to the degree that。
　　6.条件状语从句：难度高，常用连词有if ，unless，其中 only if和if only是考察重点，还有一些诸如as long as，provided，so long as，suppose that等可以引导条件从句。
　　7.让步状语从句：难度高，常用连词有although，even though，though，even if，while，no matter +w/h, as但也有很多介词和副词表示让步的意思，如：despite是最常见的一个，还有though做副词的用法，however，nevertheless这些副词在考题中比较常见。其中也要注意as引导让步状语从句要倒装。
　　8.比较状语从句：难度高，由as，than， the more…the more，just as，no more than，not…so much as…等连词引导。
　　9.方式状语从句：难度中，as，like，as if，as though，the way等引导，难度低，所以不详解。
　　以下举几个状语从句的例子：
　　例1：  【真题例句】On the other, it links these concepts to everyday realities in a manner which is parallel to the links journalists forge on a daily basis as they cover and comment on the news. (2007-47)
　　【结构分析】本句主句it links these concepts to everyday realities…，介词短语in a manner 作方式状语，后面which引导的定语从句修饰manner。关系代词which在从句中作主语。在此从句中，又包含as引导的方式状语从句as they cover and comment on the news。

　　【参考译文】另一方面，这一学科把这些概念结合到日常生活中，这与新闻记者每天报道和评论新闻时的做法是相同的。
　　例2：  【真题例句】A lateral move that hurt my pride and blocked my professional progress prompted me to abandon my relatively high profile career although, in the manner of a disgraced government minister, I covered my exit by claiming "I wanted to spend more time with my family".（2001阅读5)
　　【结构分析】本句主语为A lateral move（一次平级调动，move作名词），that引导限制性定语从句that hurt my pride and blocked my professional progress修饰先行词move。谓语部分从prompted开始直到最后。其中包含了although引导的让步状语从句，并被方式状语in the manner of a disgraced government minister分隔。句末的by claiming "I wanted to spend more time with my family"也作covered的状语，说明covered的方式。
　　由此可见，我们的状语从句并不是特别难，知识几个状语从句一起出现，或者和其他从句或者语法现象一起出现时比较苦恼。在此，就需要大家将每一种句型都了解地更加清晰透彻了。
