1、way:沿着一定方向到达某一目的地的路线。

2、road:通常是城镇之间交通工具可以运行的平坦大道。
(03) Being a truck driver means long hours on the road.
(04) There have been so many road accidents lately that you must teach the children about road safety.

3、path:指地上由人走出来的小路、小径，也指物体运行的路线、途径。
(05) Grass has grown over the path through the woods now that people no langer use it . 穿过林子的小路因没有人再走了而长满了草。
(06) The path of a projectile is a curve. 弹道成曲线状。
4、track:通常指跑道、轨道，有时也指崎岖的小路。
(07) He has run five times round the track. 他顺着跑道跑了五圈。
(08) They walked along a rough track to the village.
5、trail:荒野中踩出的小道、小径，山村间崎岖的小路。
(09) The couple walked along a trail in the forest.
(10) They have followed the desert trails for days.
6、lane:指小巷，胡同，里弄，乡间小道，车道。
(11) This lane is lined by evergreen bushes on both sides.
(12) Driving in the fast lane is exciting to a new driver.
7、alley:是指只能通过行人的小胡同。这种小胡同一般在古老的城镇里常见。不能指城市里的宽路。
(13) This is a blind alley.
8、passage 较为狭窄的通道，过道。
(14) He forced a passage through the crowd.
(15) There was a door at the end of the passage.
9、corridor(英) hallway(美) 指走廊，通道(轮船山的过道走廊为:alleyway)
(16) During the break, the student talked and laughed in the corridor.
(17) This region has been the usual corridor of German attacks.
10、aisle指教堂，礼堂，教室，列车，飞机，戏院或影院坐席间的纵向通道，走道。
(18) Aisle seats have more room for carry-on luggage.
11、gateway 指大门口，出入口，通道。
(19) New York is the gateway to the USA.
12、doorway指门口，出入口
(20) Don’t stand in the doorway.
13、route指从一个地方到另一个地方的预定路线。

14、course 指某人或某物所经之路，道路，路线，水道，航线，航道。
(23)Our course is due north.我们的路线是笔直向北。

15、line 通常指运输路线(如公路，铁路，航线等)，也可表示铁轨。
(25)The company will open a new bus line.
(26)A new line over the mountains will be laid down.
16、ring 指圈状路线。(27)The elves danced in a ring.小矮人们排成一圈跳舞。
17、pavement(英)sidewalk(美)指人行道。
(28)There were crowds on the pavements and roads everywhere.
18、street 指乡村，市镇，城市中的街道，两旁均有房屋。大城市中纵横相交的街道，东西者称为street.

24、drive 指从在园中通到房屋的车路或树林中开辟的通路。
(35)He built a drive to his house.
25、tunnel指穿越山、河，城镇供车辆通行的隧道，地道。
26、channel指水道，航道，渠道。
(36)The captain kept his ship to the channel.
(37) These irrigation channels are very effective.这些灌溉渠很有效。
