子曰：“吾十有五而志于学，三十而立，四十而不惑，五十知天命，六十而耳顺，七十而从心所欲不逾矩。”
   孔子说：“我十五岁，就有志去学习；三十岁，知道规矩，能在社会上站得住脚(立身处世)；四十岁，知识较丰富，听各种不同议论，不致迷惑；五十岁，知道大自然赋予人们的命运（领悟天命）；六十岁，一听别人言语，便能分别真假，判明是非（顺从天命）；七十岁，便可以随心所欲，不至于离开规矩准则了。”

1. "理译" (James Legge):  
The Master said: "At fifteen, I had my mind bent on learning.
At thirty, I stood firm.
At forty, I had no doubts.
At fifty, I know the decrees of Heaven.
At sixty, my ear was an obedient organ for the reception of truth.
At seventy, I could follow what my heart desired, without transgressing what was right."

2. "威译" (Arthur Waley):
The Master said, At fifteen I set my heart upon learning.
At thirty, I had planted my feet firm upon the ground.
At forty, I no longer suffered from perplexities.
At fifty, I knew what were the biddings of Heaven.
At sixty, I heard them with docile ear.
At seventy, I could follow the dictates of my own heart; for what I desired no longer overstepped the boundaries of right.
