. Zha Daojiong (Political Science, Class of 1995, University of Hawaii at Manoa) joined the faculty in March 2003. From 1995 through 2003, he taught in the University of Macao, Miyazaki International College, and the Graduate School of International Relations, International University of Japan.
Dr. Zha is responsible for teaching courses on international political economy and China’s international economic relations. He is director of the Center for International Energy Security and coordinator of the School’s International Political Economy minor program since its inauguration. From September 2003 till July 2006, he served as executive director of the School’s English language M.A. program.
In research, Dr. Zha specializes on the politics of international energy/resource exploration and trade, China’s energy diplomacy and policy studies, China’s international economic relations, political-economic relations between China and its neighbors, and non-traditional security issues, with a focus on the Asia Pacific.
On his present post, Dr. Zha has served as a visiting professor in the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (2003, 2006), and the University of Hong Kong (2006).

查道炯博士（政治学，美国夏威夷大学，1995年毕业）于2003年3月加入中国人民大学国际关系学院从事教学工作。从1995年至2003年他在澳门大学、宫崎国际大学、日本国际大学国际政治学研究生院任教。
他的主要教学领域是国际政治经济学和中国对外经济关系。在本院，查博士担任国际能源战略研究中心主任、国际政治经济学系主任，该系负责组织国际政治经济学专业方向（本科、硕士）的教学工作。自2003年9月至2006年8月，他担任了学院全英文硕士项目首届、第二届、第三届（头一年）的执行主任。
查博士的研究专长是国际能源及资源开发与贸易中的政治和政策问题、中国的能源外交与能源政策、中国对外经济关系、中国与周边邻国的政治经济关系、以及非传统安全问题（着重亚太地区）。
加入人民大学以来，查博士曾于2003，2006年赴密西根大学、2006年赴香港大学等境外高校担任访问教授工作。
