Li Jinming, male, born in Quanzhou, Fujian province; graduated from the School of Southeast Asian Studies, Xiamen University; having got M.A. in 1982 and PhD. in 1987; being professor and doctoral instructor of the School of Southeast Asian Studies, Xiamen University, deputy director of the Maritime Policy & Law Center of Xiamen University, researcher of the Chinese Maritime Research Center, executive director of the Institute of Chinese Law of the Sea, council member of the Institute of China Foreign Relations History and member of the Academic Committee, council member of Fujian Maritime Institute; mainly engaged in teaching and research of the history of China foreign relations, history of China overseas traffics, history of Sino-western trades, territory of South China Sea, sovereignty of South China Sea and international law of the sea.
