Edward wasn’t that easy. "The bar is so high," Hardwicke says. "Every two pages there’s a comment about how gorgeous he is ... I met all of these guys I felt were quite good, but they didn’t have that special other quality that they were alive for 105 years." She took Robert Pattinson and three other actors to her house in Venice, Calif., to run lines with Kristen.
They played the biology-class scene in the dining room. They moved the cars out of the garage and did the "How long have you been 17?" scene there. Then they did the kissing scene on Hardwicke’s bed. "I played it like a guy who is beating himself up a lot about everything," Pattinson says. "I don’t think anyone else did it like that. I guess I tried to ignore every aspect of the confident hero of the story." It worked. Stewart and Hardwicke were sold.

Selling Pattinson to Summit was tougher. He wasn’t a star — his biggest role was Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire — and he didn’t look like a star. "He was disheveled," Hardwicke says. "He was a different weight. His hair was different and dyed black [he had just played Salvador Dalí in Little Ashes]. He was all sloppy. The studio head said, ’You want to cast this guy as Edward Cullen?’ I said yeah. And he said, ’Do you think you can make him look good?’ I said yes, I do."

Summit gave Hardwicke 48 days and $37 million to make Twilight. That’s not a lot, especially in retrospect, but nobody knew whether the book’s popularity would translate into box-office success. "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, that was successful," Hardwicke says, "but it made $30 million with this kind of fan base." That led to some improvising. In the book, the crucial scene between Bella and Edward in the school parking lot happens on a snow day, but snow is expensive. "So the snow became the rain. And then I had to cut the rain out and show that it had rained with some fake patches of plastic ice."

When it came time to film the sequel, Hardwicke balked. Summit was pushing hard to get the new movie done fast, to keep up the momentum, and she was burned out. Enter Chris Weitz, who was not, by his own admission, the obvious choice. "There was a reasonable amount of skepticism when I took over the second movie," he says. "I understand that. I directed American Pie. I would be worried too." But after a 2½-hour phone conversation with Meyer — a fan of Weitz’s About a Boy — she gave him her blessing.For New Moon Weitz had more money to play with, about $50 million, but in some ways he had a more difficult assignment. Not only did he have to stay true to Meyer’s books, but he also had to follow the tone of Hardwicke’s Twilight. Up to a point. "I wanted it to look more old-fashioned than the first movie," he says. "Hardwicke’s film was very contemporary, very stylish. Very immediate. That was great. But not me. I’m a bit of an old fogy. What I wanted was wide-screen epic."

09年5月13日，Robert 23岁生日~地点温哥华的The Global Grill And Satay
当天在完成了长达12小时的拍摄工作后，Rob在晚上6点左右返回下榻酒店，9点15分左右的时候和父母还有Kristen一同前往The Global Grill And Satay，还有他的父母以及Sam Bradley，随后Ashley Greene, Jamie BowerCampell和一些其他剧组人员也陆续赶到。
The group -- sitting in a private booth upstairs -- ordered Kobe beef meatballs and lamb and steak satays. After dinner, Pattinson and Stewart retreated to the adjoining Afterglow lounge where he drank beer and she sipped champagne.

The source adds that the location of his dinner was soon posted on Twitter, and by 11 p.m., the place was flooded with fans. At 12:30 a.m., one of the managers escorted them downstairs so they could leave.

一定有很多Robsten Fans不喜欢Emilie de Ravin ，反正我就是不喜欢，她的脸不是我喜欢的类型，看不顺，加上年纪不对，81年的Emilie de Ravin 和86年的Rob不配，已婚（和老公闹离婚中），但还硬要演大学生，离婚中的Emilie de Ravin会对Rob伸出魔掌也不一定，事实证明我们的猜测是对的，她就是伸了。

然后这次的press conference，好像对提问有着很严格的要求，有个记者才刚提到Robsten的chemistry off camera就马上主办方干涉了，说什么不能提私人问题，只能问影片相关问题，而Kris的反应是：‘Are you kidding me？，’殊不知我们都很想知道。

All I’d like to do is go outside with a book and figure out what to do with the day. And if I can’t do that, then I’m just going to sit in my hotel room on my balcony and chain smoke. [Pauses] I’m going to stop smoking. I’m not such a good smoker, anyway. It’s not in my bones. I’m gonna drop it.
Pattinson: The three of us have been working for two years [straight]. It does feel like your day has a shape just as soon as you wake up. I just forget what it’s like when you’re free.
EW：你们都怎么应付就像生活在鱼缸里的状况？

EW: Taylor, you’re the only one who almost lost a shot at the sequels. Do you have a different relationship with fame because you had to fight for your job?
Lautner: No, I kept my eye on the prize 100 percent of the time. I was motivated. I wasn’t even thinking about anything else.
Stewart: Thank God you got the job. I wouldn’t have wanted to deal with you if you didn’t. After all those months of working out!
Lautner: I just wanted to focus on what I could control, and I worked really hard.
EW: You mean in the gym? Because I see your abs everywhere these days.
Lautner: Yeah, the gym was a major part, but I really studied the books and the character, too. And it all turned out good.

Pattinson on his hair in Eclipse: I swear to you I’ve never experienced anything like this. It’s every single day. In Twilight, they wanted me to have extensions down to my hips.
Stewart: He’s a liar. He doesn’t remember. He’s remembering how they made him feel, but they were just, like, down to here [pointing to her shoulders].

Let’s make it a little more real, a little bit more…Method.” [Laughs] And then in the third one, I’m doing fight scenes and there’s a strand going down my forehead and they’re like, “We need to do it again because no one will recognize you! No one will know who it is!” I’m like, really, is my face that generic?
Stewart: They want proof that you’re doing your own stunts, man!
Pattinson: I have to look like the poster at all times. Just in case they want to use any clip for the trailer. Any clip at all! There were about five people in different departments who, because of my forelock, ended up in tears.

EW: Rob, you made Remember Me this summer, between sequels. Was that the set in New York, where you were knocked into a cab by hordes of fans?
Pattinson: That was completely made up. I was walking across the street, and there was one cab going about one mile an hour and it nudged my leg. The story ended up being how I got hit by a cab because of a mob of screaming fans, [but] it was 4 o’clock in the morning and there was one person there – a paparazzi….And then there was another time – apparently they said on the news that I had a drug overdose. The security guy saw it on TV, and I wasn’t in my room, and he was like, “Uh-oh!” It’s just so weird. I wake up and my room is too messy to order room service, and so I end up eating a pack of MM’s for breakfast – and it takes me about five hours to find it. That’s my first five hours of the day. [Laughing] And then you see the news and think, “Who cares if he had a drug overdose? It would probably make him more interesting!”

EW: Kristen and Rob, why do you think people are so obsessed with the state of your offscreen relationship?
Pattinson: Good question. That’s a little thing I have to think about every day.
Stewart: Maybe it’s just my personality, but I’m never going to answer it. I probably would’ve answered it if people hadn’t made such a big deal about it. But I’m not going to give the fiending an answer. I know that people are really funny about “Well, you chose to be an actor, why don’t you just f---ing give your whole life away? Can I have your firstborn child?”
EW: Kristen和 Rob, 你们认为为什么人们会对你们的之间关系这么着迷？
Robert：好问题。这也是我每天都在想的事。

Stewart: People are deeply judgmental and I’m not strong enough. I would love to be like, “I don’t care what anybody thinks.” But I’m a very private person. And think about every hypothetical answer: “Okay, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.” I’ve thought about this a lot. There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other. I’m just trying to keep something. If people started asking me if I was dating Taylor, I’d be like, “F--- off.” I would answer the exact same way.”

According to Jennie Garth — who is married to Twilight actor Peter Facinelli — the British actor is romantically involved with either Kristen Stewart or Nikki Reed.
“I can’t say [if it's Kristen Stewart or Nikki Reed], because that would be breaking my promise to Peter, but he is dating one of them!” blabbed the loose-lipped 90210 star.
Stories had claimed that the actress- who is married to Twilight star Peter Facinelli- confirmed a romance between the heartthrob and Kristen Stewart.
But Facinelli took to Twitter to say: “Complete media fabrication. I read the transcript of what my wife actually said, which was, ‘My husband talks to me about Twilight stuff, but I promised him I wouldn’t talk about it’.”

09年8月15日，Robsten和剧组白天一起参加了New Moon的私人观影会，晚上参加了Kings Of Leon的演唱会。
传说中的Kiss照就是在今天诞生的~~虽然我不怎么赞同那是Kiss照。
Summit为了掩人耳目（其实是此地无银三百两），Robsten想要单独约会竟要带上整个cast，特别是要带上Taylor，这么说是有原因的，Kings Of Leon是Robert最喜欢的乐队，所以他想去看他们的演出很正常，带上Kristen也很正常，但是整个剧组都跟去了是不是有点太over了，而且其他cast在演唱会上明显心不在焉，兴致不高，Taylor面无表情，和大家全无交流，而Kellan呢，只顾着玩他的手机，总而言之，真正在欣赏演唱会的挚友Robsten，还不是交流聊天。
