Xue Xuanlin (Jan. 1957 --), a famous painter and art theorist, was born in Nanjing Jiangsu and have been lived in Beijing since 2007. He has studied in Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, Liaoning University and Shenyang Artillery College. Initiating Relative Painting in 1986, he once took the position of lecturer of philosophy and aesthetics and now is still holding several positions such as member of the China Artist Association, special appointed painter of the Chinese Painting Institute of Jiangsu,
Artistic Director of National Art Network
,the vice-chairman of the Society for the Study of Chinese Painting and the Curator of Xue Xuanlin Art Gallery. He has published Study on Conception and Techniques of Chinese Painting (1989), On Permanence of Art (1993) and Art Perspective of Xue Xuanlin (2003), and many important theses as well, which together form a systemic art theory.
